The results of the ROC analysis showed that serum AFP was an effective predictor of significant fibrosis, advanced fibrosis, and cirrhosis, with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) of 0.773 (95% CI: 0.721–0.821), 0.889 (95% CI: 0.847–0.923), and 0.925 (95% CI: 0.887–0.953), respectively.
