In addition, when patients with cyclin D1-positive and -negative tumours were stratified according to presence or absence of lymph node metastasis and RB status, the cumulative survival rates in the cyclin D1-positive groups were significantly lower for patients without lymph node metastasis (P < 0.01) and for patients whose tumours were positive for RB (P< 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
