After adjustment for age, sex, smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and HDL-C, multivariable analyses indicated that ICAS had a dose-response relationship with apoB/apoAI ratio quartiles: the second quartile, OR, 3.051 (95% CI, 1.185 to 7.855); the third quartile, 3.516 (1.504 to 8.219); and the fourth quartile, 4.743 (2.109 to 10.667), when referenced to the first quartile. This evidence concerns the gene APOA1 and hypertensive disorder.
