Clinical symptoms and laboratory parameters were compared between groups, and serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-17A (IL-17A), wingless-type MMTV integration site family member 3A (WNT3A), low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP-6), glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK-3β), β-catenin, osteoprotegerin (OPG), and beta-C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (β-CTX) were measured.
Results
Compared with the conventional control group alone, moxibustion combined therapy significantly improved clinical symptoms in RA patients (P<0.05). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
