Heterogeneity was assessed using the <i>I</i>2 statistic, and publication bias was evaluated using Egger's and Begg's tests.<h4>Results</h4>SGLT2 inhibitor therapy was associated with a 14% reduction in all-cause mortality (HR = 0.86, 95% CI: 0.79-0.92; <i>p</i> < 0.001) and a 26% reduction in heart failure hospitalization (HR = 0.74, 95% CI: 0.68-0.81; <i>p</i> < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and heart failure.
