In the whole T2DM cohort, higher frequency of circulating CD4<sup>+</sup>CD25<sup>+</sup> T cells were associated with improved survival (HR 0.920, 95% CI 0.858-0.986, <i>p</i> = 0.019), whereas elevated PLR and SCr were linked to poorer outcomes. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
