CRP and venous thromboembolism: Factors independently associated with SAP included nasogastric tube placement (OR: 7.02, 95% CI: 3.50-14.62), venous thromboembolism (OR: 3.20, 95% CI: 1.62-6.31), cognitive impairment (OR: 2.90, 95% CI: 1.32-6.36), and elevated inflammatory markers (WBC OR: 1.52, 95% CI: 1.28-1.80; fibrinogen OR: 1.37, 95% CI: 1.02-1.84; CRP OR: 1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.03).
