CD4 and Hypertension: Thrombocytopenia was significantly associated with age > 65 years (AOR = 2.2; 95% CI: 1.72-2.72; p = 0.009), hypertension (AOR = 4.1; 95% CI: 3.63, 4.63; p = 0.03), undernutrition (AOR = 5.42; 95% CI: 4.82, 5.92; p = 0.007), and alcohol consumption (AOR = 4.21; 95% CI: 4.01, 4.31; p = 0.006).<h4>Conclusion and recommendation</h4>Among HIV patients, leukocytopenia and thrombocytopenia are common public health problems that have been associated with age > 65 years, pregnancy, MTB infection, undernutrition, hypertension, alcohol consumption, high viral load, and low CD4+ count.
