Besides, univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were employed to determine mortality-related factors.<h4>Results</h4>Patients with severe pneumonia were measured with significantly higher white blood cells, CRP, procalcitonin, PTEN, and Progranulin levels (all <i>P</i> < 0.05), but lower albumin levels (all <i>P</i> < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
