A total of 40% of patients with IDA had hepcidin levels below 10, and 48% of those with ACD had hepcidin levels above 10 (<i>p</i> = 0.036).<h4>Conclusions</h4>It was found that iron deficiency anemia was the most common form in pAPS, while anemia of chronic disease was equally present across all patient groups. The gene discussed is HAMP; the disease is anemia (phenotype).
