Here, we (i) map Nrf2-dependent versus Nrf2-independent nodes in the oxidative stress-inflammation circuit; (ii) compare cell type- and subtype-specific Nrf2 functions across RA, PsA, and AS; (iii) summarize pharmacologic and natural-product Nrf2 activators together with joint-targeted delivery strategies; and (iv) discuss evidence and gaps for Nrf2 in core autoimmune mechanisms, including self-tolerance, antigen handling, and pathogenic immune memory. This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and rheumatoid arthritis.
