In THA and TKA, GLP-1 RAs use was associated with a reduced risk of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) (e.g., 1.6% vs. 2.9% at 2 years for THA) and lower 90-day readmission rates (e.g., 1.1% vs. 2.0% for TKA and 1.6% vs. 2.0% for THA). This evidence concerns the gene GLP1R and juvenile polyposis syndrome.
