ROC curves indicated adiponectin (cutoff ≤ 4.5 μg/mL) and insulin (cutoff ≥ 22 mcIU/mL) as biomarkers of steatosis.<h4>Conclusion</h4>In pediatric age with excess weight, hepatic steatosis was associated with higher BP, severe obesity, and worse glycemic profile. This evidence concerns the gene INS and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
