At the inflammatory peak, aerosolized bovine lactoferrin (bLF) was administered in vivo, and histological lung injury, pulmonary inflammatory cytokine levels, neutrophil infiltration, and markers related to the NOX2-MPO-NETosis axis were evaluated.<h4>Results</h4>LPS induced typical ALI pathology that peaked between days 1 and 3 (D1-D3). The gene discussed is LTF; the disease is acute respiratory distress syndrome.
