Mucopolysaccharidosis type IVA (MPSIVA) is a lysosomal storage disease (LSD) caused by deficiency of N-acetylgalactosamine-6-sulfate sulfatase (GALNS), which causes the accumulation of keratan sulphate (KS) and chondroitin sulphate (CS).
