In vitro validation confirmed significant downregulation of all three biomarkers in a sarcopenia-like state (CHCHD10, p < 0.01; SAMM50, p < 0.05; MDH2, p < 0.01).
Conclusion
Our findings suggest that a three-gene mitochondrial signature, comprising CHCHD10, SAMM50, and MDH2, could serve as a valuable biomarker for early sarcopenia diagnosis. The gene discussed is SAMM50; the disease is sarcopenia.
