Nucleotide-binding domain and leucine-rich repeat protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome plays a crucial role in IBD.<h4>Methods</h4>Here, we explored the inhibitory activity of the 25 main ingredients from ACH on NLRP3 inflammasome using THP-1 and J774A.1 macrophage models, and the dextran sulfate sodium salt (DSS)-induced acute ulcerative colitis mouse model was used to investigate the therapeutic potential. The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is inflammatory bowel disease.
