However, the incidence of genital infection and diabetic ketoacidosis in the SGLT2 inhibitor group was higher than that in the control group.<h4>Conclusion</h4>Our study confirms the beneficial effects in diabetic kidney disease patients, while also demonstrating a higher risk of genital infections and diabetic ketoacidosis in the SGLT2 inhibitor group compared to controls. This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and diabetic ketoacidosis.
