AGT and arteriolosclerosis: Compared with exposure to 5 additional PYs of angiotensin II-inhibiting antihypertensive medications, exposure to 5 additional PYs of angiotensin II-stimulating antihypertensive medications was associated with a 6% lower risk for arteriolosclerosis (relative risk [RR], 0.94; 95% CI, 0.89-0.99), with long-term use associated with a 24% lower risk (RR, 0.76; 95% CI, 0.63-0.91).
