While sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) have demonstrated cardiovascular and renal benefits across various chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages, their effects in patients with HF and ESKD remain uncertain due to their exclusion from major clinical trials.
Objectives
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of SGLT2i in reducing one-year clinical outcomes, including all-cause hospitalization, all-cause mortality, and acute pulmonary edema in patients with HF and ESKD.
Methods
A retrospective cohort study was conducted using the TriNetX network. The gene discussed is SLC5A2; the disease is chronic kidney disease.
