The regulation of TGFβ1 by integrin αVβ6 and αVβ8 is of particular interest here, given the ability of fibronectin, collagens, and laminins to interact directly with these glycoproteins (Supplementary Figure S5 and [119,120]), suggesting that a complex network of interactions exists between CRP, FN1, COL4A2, LAMA1, LAMC1, and TGFβ1 (Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3) that could influence TGFβ1 signaling relevant to its role as either a tumor suppressor or promoter.
