These nine genes span multiple ALS-relevant biological domains, including lipid metabolism (ABCA1, SLC25A20),19,28 mitochondrial function (LYRM5),29 RNA processing and stress signaling (DDX51, SRPK1, RPS6KA5),30,31,32 and immune regulation (QPCT).33 This evidence concerns the gene RPS6KA5 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
