Patients with normal BMI exhibited the highest incidence of liver malignancy (8.3%); cirrhosis patients with elevated total cholesterol levels demonstrated a higher incidence of liver malignancy (11.8%); cirrhosis patients with reduced antithrombin III activity showed a higher incidence of liver malignancy (8.6%) (P < 0.05), as shown in Table 1.
