At baseline, participants with obesity had significantly higher median resistin levels (6.43 ng/mL; interquartile range (IQR): 5.78-7.20) than participants without non-obesity (4.12 ng/mL; IQR: 3.45-4.26; p = 0.001). Here, RETN is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
