In a meta-analysis including 3291 patients across 15 studies, Gu et al. demonstrated that PD-L1 overexpression was significantly associated with poorer overall survival in gastric cancer (HR = 1.46, 95% CI 1.08–1.98; p = 0.01) and correlated with aggressive pathological features such as lymph-node metastasis, venous invasion, and EBV/MSI positivity [33].
