Around the tumor mass, a thin band of unstained perinodular tumor stroma was observed, showing a clear contrast to the surrounding juxtatumoral zone, which was observed in the form of a compressed reticular dermis composed of 10–15 layers of CD34-immunoreactive flattened fibroblasts, arranged in a relatively parallel pattern, interposed between thin atrophic bundles of collagen fibers (Figure 2B,C). This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and neoplasm.
