The neurobiomarker constellation observed here—elevated GFAP, PRDX-6, tau, VILIP-1, and altered BDNF—broadly aligns with the vascular–glial–tauopathy framework described above and corresponds to histopathological evidence of astroglial scarring, microvascular fragmentation, and perivascular tau deposition in blast-exposed military members and Veterans [2,19,157]. Here, BDNF is linked to tauopathy.
