Recent studies tend to be narrower, focusing on particular drugs (shown in Figure 8B), such as “adrenal cortex hormones/therapeutic usage,” targeted biological agents (Thaçi 2016, Simpson 2020b for eczema), or immunotherapies (such as in D'amato 2015 for AR; Durham co-cited, Table 2), and/or pathways (e.g., “interleukin 13.”) These trends indicate the move toward more specific targeting and, ultimately, toward precision medicine as therapies.
