CRP and Increased total leukocyte count: The laboratory results showed leukocytosis (27.31 × 109/L), neutrophil predominance (83.9%), mild anemia (193 g/L), normal platelet count (184 × 109/L), normal C-reactive protein (CRP; 0.26 mg/L), and markedly increased interleukin-6 (IL-6; 105.37 pg/mL), which confirmed the existence of inflammation.
