SCN8A and developmental and epileptic encephalopathy: These observations are consistent with prior literature: a review of SCN8A-related developmental and epileptic encephalopathy reported that brain MRI is normal in approximately half of patients and that, when abnormal, the most common finding is mild diffuse cerebral atrophy (21), and a small single-center cohort documented MRI abnormalities in 28.6% of patients (22).
