Background
Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are a heterogeneous disease and chemotherapy (CT) represents the standard first-line treatment for those with a Ki-67 index >20%.
Methods
MAVERIC is a randomized, multicenter, non-comparative phase II study including patients with metastatic gastroenteropancreatic (GEP-NEN) or large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) (Ki-67 20%-55%) according to the 2010 WHO grading system and at least stable disease after first-line CT. Here, MKI67 is linked to neuroendocrine neoplasm.
