A recent study (9) demonstrated the utility of second-generation metagenomic sequencing in detecting pulmonary myoepithelioma, reporting no mutations, translocations, or amplifications in 56 genes commonly associated with thoracic tumors, including EGFR, ALK, ERBB2, MET, ROS1, and other proto-oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and neoplasm of thorax.
