The asymptomatic form of CTRCD is typically classified based on left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF): LVEF ≤40% (HF with reduced ejection fraction, HFrEF); LVEF 41%–49% (HF with mildly reduced ejection fraction, HFmrEF); and LVEF ≥50% (HF with preserved ejection fraction, HFpEF); a new relative reduction in global longitudinal strain (GLS) > 15% compared with baseline, ccTnI/cTnT>99 percentile, BNP ≥35 pg/mL, NT-proBNP ≥125 pg/mL, or new significant rise from baseline beyond the biological and analytical variation of the assay used (Lyon et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and hydrops fetalis.
