ACTA1 and radiodermatitis: Grape seed proanthocyanidins were reported to exhibit photoprotective effects associated with reduced NF-κB/p65 activation and nuclear translocation, and a modified Simiao Yong’an formula showed beneficial effects on radiation dermatitis with changes in MAPK/ERK phosphorylation, reduced activity of the PI3K/AKT pathway, and decreased levels of α-SMA, Colla2, and TGF-β1 expression (Yong et al., 2009; Xiong et al., 2021; Park et al., 2020; Wang Y. et al., 2023).
