CRP and isolated hyperferritinemia: Laboratory tests revealed bi-lineage cytopenia (hemoglobin 7.1 g/dL with normal mean corpuscular volume, platelets 49 × 109/L), mild elevation of liver enzymes (aspartate aminotransferase 52 UI/L, alanine transaminase 45 UI/L, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase 144 UI/L, alkaline phosphatase 159 UI/L), hypertriglyceridemia (187 mg/dL), hyperferritinemia (2897 ng/mL), low fibrinogen, and increased inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein [CRP] 82.4 mg/L, procalcitonin 2.56 ng/mL).
