TGFβ2 has also been shown to cause ocular hypertension both in vivo (McDowell et al., 2013; Shepard et al., 2010; Rudzitis et al., 2025) and ex vivo (Fleenor et al., 2006; Gottanka et al., 2004) and is elevated in POAG patients (Tripathi et al., 1994; Min et al., 2006).
