As a result, we screened for new markers in ascites not previously linked to ovarian cancer that may play a role in tumor progression and validated the association of the protein levels of RAB14 (a member of the RAS oncogene family), SCAMP3 (secretory carrier membrane protein 3), FAM3C (family with sequence similarity 3, member C) in ascites with progression-free survival (PFS). Here, FAM3C is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
