This study identified several risk factors associated with infection in multiple myeloma (MM) patients with MM, including a C-reactive protein level greater than 10 mg/L, a fasting blood glucose level exceeding 6.1 mmol/L, a lactate dehydrogenase level of 245 U/L or higher, a bone marrow plasma cell percentage of 30% or more, and an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) score greater than 3. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and Miyoshi myopathy.
