By focusing on these highly methylated strands (7–8 CpG sites), we found statistically significant ONECUT2 gene-body DNA hypermethylation in PCa lesions compared to adjacent-normal (benign or premalignant) prostate tissues (p < 0.0001 and AUC = 0.86) (Fig. 5A). The gene discussed is ONECUT2; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
