Briefly (as shown by the data in Table 2), those with serum zinc levels <60 μg/dL had significantly higher ALBI scores (p < 0.001), FIB-4 index values (p < 0.001), and serum total bilirubin levels (p < 0.001), a significantly higher prevalence of diuretic usage (p < 0.001), a significantly higher daily dosage of furosemide (p < 0.001), and a significantly higher prevalence of liver cirrhosis (p < 0.001), as well as significantly lower serum albumin levels (p < 0.001). Here, ALB is linked to cirrhosis of liver.
