In an analysis of data from the CHANCE trial comprising 3,044 participants, patients with CRP > 3 mg/L after minor stroke or TIA had a higher risk (adjusted HR 1.46, 95% CI 1.08–1.98) of 90-day recurrent stroke compared to those with CRP < 1 mg/L (Li et al., 2016). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and transient ischemic attack.
