AFP and metastasis: Common high-risk factors for recurrence include vascular invasion (either vascular thrombus or bile duct thrombus), lymph node metastasis, maximum tumor diameter ≥ 5 cm, multiple tumors, tumor stage, tumor grade, satellite metastases, the presence of intact peritumor tissue, tumor rupture, invasion of neighboring organs, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels, the degree of cirrhosis, HBV/HCV infection, and Child-Pugh classification.
