In this regard, a previous study on tuberculosis demonstrated that human M2 macrophages infected with rBCG upregulate genes associated with inflammation (TAP1, GBP1, SLAMF7, TNIP1, and IL6) and induced secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and tissue repair factors, including MCP-3 and EGF 27. This evidence concerns the gene CCL7 and tuberculosis.
