In human HCC data collected from 379 patients in the TCGA database, alterations in FAT family genes occur with the following frequencies: FAT4 in 5.74%, FAT Atypical Cadherin 2 (FAT2) in 5.46%, FAT Atypical Cadherin 1 (FAT1) in 6.28%, and FAT Atypical Cadherin 3 (FAT3) in 7.38% of cases [68]. Here, FAT2 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
