In addition to glioblastoma and head and neck cancer, all three types of renal cancers (clear cell carcinoma [ccRCC], chromophobe carcinoma, and papillary cell carcinoma) exhibited significant ABCA1 upregulation in tumor (Figure 1F, Figure 1—figure supplement 1A and B), indicating that ABCA1 upregulation frequently occurs in clinical renal cancers. Here, ABCA1 is linked to nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
