Analysis of 796 case-control pairs throughout four independent cohorts showed that hypomethylation at AHRR cg05575921 and F2RL3 cg03636183 was highly associated with future lung cancer risk, with odds ratios of 0.37 (95% CI: 0.31–0.54) and 0.40 (95% CI: 0.31–0.56) per standard deviation increase in methylation, respectively [59]. The gene discussed is AHRR; the disease is lung carcinoma.
