In two patients (cases 31 and 34), co-mutation of TP53 and PIK3CA were found, while in one patient (case 2) the NSCLC cells harbored co-amplification of CDK4 and MDM2, and in another case (no. 16) co-existing mutations in MSH6, NOTCH2, and SMAD4 together with amplification of ATR and PTPN11 genes were detected (Figure 2, Supplementary Table S3). Here, PIK3CA is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
