Two of the enKoRVs were located in the flanking regions of two genes, PTPN21 (protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 21), as part of the protein tyrosine phosphatases family, known to regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation18, and MGAT5 (alpha-1,6-mannosylglycoprotein 6-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase) a mediator of cell migration in tumor development19,20. Here, MGAT5 is linked to neoplasm.
