To confirm the antiviral function of ISG20 during HCMV infection, we utilized lentiviral vectors to generate HFF cells with doxycycline-inducible overexpression of either wild-type ISG20 (HFF/ISG20) or the catalytically inactive D94G mutant (HFF/ISG20mut), alongside control cells (HFF/control). The gene discussed is ISG20; the disease is cytomegalovirus infection.
