Several flavonoids demonstrate strong anticancer properties, including quercetin, which induces autophagy and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma; epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which downregulates the Akt/mTOR pathway in gastric carcinoma; and genistein, which targets the Akt and NF-κB signaling pathways in hepatocellular carcinoma [18].
